Beginning in Maryland in 1849 and charting her whole life, this is the inspirational account of iconic abolitionist, Harriet Tubman. After plantation owner Edward Brodess refuses to recognise documented proof that Harriet is a freedwoman, she plots a daring escape. This moment becomes a catalyst for her missions to free other enslaved people and set up the Underground Railroad.
