Synopsis
Detective Gesicht investigates serial murder case
In a distant future where robots pass for humans and the two species live harmoniously, a mysterious murder takes place. When it is discovered that someone is plotting to destroy the seven great robots of the world, Europol must intervene. Top detective Gesicht is put on the case, to investigate the conspiracy to kill all the great robot war heroes. The plot thickens when he finds out that he is one of the seven targets.

What to know
Netflix adapts Pluto manga into an anime series
Pluto is a Netflix anime series produced by Genco, and animated by M2Studio. The series is based on the eponymous manga series by Naoki Urasawa and Takashi Nagasaki, which was inspired by ‘The Greatest Robot on Earth’ story arc from the iconic Astro Boy manga series. Astro Boy was created by legendary cartoonist Osamu Tezuka, who is colloquially known as the ‘Father of Manga’. The Pluto manga was also adapted into a successful stage play in 2015.
Shinshu Fuji leads the voice cast as Detective Gesicht, the Europol robot detective investigating the crime. Yoko Hikasa voices the advanced robot boy Atom, with Minori Suzuki as Uran, Atom’s younger sister.
