Synopsis

Achieving the rank of Hashira will be no easy feat for Tanjiro

Tanjiro Kamado is dedicated to realizing his full potential and reaching the esteemed status of a Hashira, the highest rank among Demon Slayers. However, to achieve this esteemed position, he faces the formidable challenge set by the Stone Hashira, Gyomei Himejima, whose rigorous standards demand nothing short of excellence. Adding to the challenge is the relentless pursuit of the demon king, Muzan Kibutsuji, who shares the same objective. Together, they seek out Tanjiro's powerful demon sister, Nezuko.

Original Demon Slayer director returns for third movie

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Hashira Training is a Japanese animated-fantasy action film directed by Haruo Sotozaki. It is based on the successful and popular Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba manga series written by Koyoharu Gotouge which ran from 2018-2020. The anime series premiered in 2019. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Hashira Training serves as a direct sequel to the anime's third season while also being a third cinematic adaptation following 2020's Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train and 2023's Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Swordsmith Village. Haruo Sotozaki previously directed the two other entries.

Animation studio Ufotable tackled screenplay duties for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Hashira Training. Musical duo Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina, who previously helmed the music for the Demon Slayer anime series, tackles the music in the film. Producers include Akifumi Fujio, Masanori Miyake and Yūma Takahashi.

The original Japanese dub of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – To the Hashira Training includes Natsuki Hanae as Tanjiro Kamado while the English dub is voiced by Zach Aguilar. The character of Nezuko Kamado is voiced by Akari Kitō and Abby Trott. Genya Shinazugawa is voiced by Nobuhiko Okamoto and Zeno Robinson. Muichiro Tokito is Kengo Kawanishi and Griffin Burns. Mitsuri Kanroji is Kana Hanazawa and Kira Buckland.
