Synopsis
High school dropout lands job, unwittingly joins criminal enterprise
Liza Drake, a high school dropout, secures a position at a struggling pharmaceutical startup located in a deteriorating strip mall in Central Florida. Before long, she becomes entangled in a sinister criminal racketeering plot that carries dangerous outcomes.

Harry Potter director enlists Emily Blunt and Chris Evans for Netflix crime drama
Pain Hustlers is a conspiracy crime-drama film directed by David Yates for Netflix. It is based on Evan Hughes' 2022 novel of the same name. Yates is best known for directing four films from the Harry Potter universe which include Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and the final two entries in the series with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Part 2. He has also directed the franchise's Fantastic Beasts prequel trilogy with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, The Crimes of Grindelwald and The Secrets of Dumbledore. Wells Tower wrote the screenplay for Pain Hustlers after finding success in publishing his collection of short stories titled Everything Ravaged, Everything Burned. Yates produces the film alongside Lawrence Grey.
Emily Blunt stars as Liza Drake in Pain Hustlers. She has appeared in such titles as The Devil Wears Prada, Edge of Tomorrow, Sicario and A Quiet Place. She is joined by Chris Evans who is best known for his role within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Steve Rogers/Captain America. Legendary actress Catherine O'Hara appears as Liza's mother Jackie, while Andy García is Jack Neel. Jay Duplass, Brian d'Arcy James, Chloe Coleman, Aubrey Dollar, Amit Shah and Willie Raysor round out the cast.
