Bigg Boss OTT is back with its second season, and this season is everything you want it to be. From a star-studded lineup of contestants, to the glorious return of actor Salman Khan as the host of the series, there’s a lot to be excited about. So let’s dig in.
Similar to previous seasons the show follows the lives of 13 contestants locked in a strange house. Salman Khan kicked off the grand premiere of the show on 17th June, where the fans were introduced to all the 13 contestants of the show, including the surprise entry of esteemed Bollywood actor, director, and producer, Pooja Bhatt.
Pooja Bhatt is the daughter of the Bollywood director Mahesh Bhatt, and the half-sister of leading Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt. She’s acted in several films such as Sadak, Border, and the more recent Netflix series Bombay Begums. Pooja Bhatt’s father Mahesh Bhatt showed his support and excitement towards his daughter's decision to join the hit reality series by sharing, ‘"Life's greatest adventures begin when we step into the realm of the unknown with courage and curiosity. She has done just that. I admire her audacity” in an interview with Times of India.

From TV personalities to Youtubers, and film producers, Bigg Boss OTT2 features an impressive lineup of contestants coming from versatile backgrounds. From the world of television we have actors Avinash Sachdev from Chotti Bahu, Jiya Shankar from Meri Hanikarak Biwi, Falaq Naaz from Sasural Simar Ka, and Akanksha Puri known for her role as Parvati in the TV series Vighnaharta Ganesh joining the show.
They’re joined by serial reality stars Manisha Rani, Palak Purswani, and Bebika Dhurve. The reality show also includes viral Youtubers Puneet Kumar aka Puneet Superstar and Abhishek Malhan more commonly known by his channel name Fukra Insaan.
Highly talked about entries include Cyrus Broacha who grew to fame as MTV’s most popular video jockey in the early 90s, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s estranged wife Aaliya Siddiqui, and lebanese model, actor and television personality, Jad Hadid who established himself as a playboy within the first episode itself.

The show debuted on 17th June, 2023, and saw its first elimination within just 24 hours with Youtuber Puneet Superstar being shown the door for damaging house property. This is the shortest time any contestant has spent in the Bigg Boss house. His elimination was quickly followed by the news of actress Palak Purswani's impending elimination. She has been voted out by fans; however, her fate depends on fellow contestants as they hold the final decision to save her. Bigg Boss OTT 2 is progressing much faster than its previous seasons, and we can expect a lot more from this group of vibrant contestants in the coming weeks.
