Insidious: The Red Door is the direct sequel to the famous Insidious and Insidious Chapter 2. The film is produced by Screen Gems for Sony Pictures. The story has been written by Leigh Whannel, the writer behind the rest of the films in the series, which has been adapted to a screenplay by writer Scott Teams. This film also marks the directorial debut for lead actor Patrick Wilson.
The film also popularly known as Insidious 5 retains most of the original cast from the first two films, with Patrick Wilson as Josh Lambert, Ty Simpkins playing the role of the now grown up son Dalton, Rose Byrne as Renai Lambert, Andrew Astor as Foster Lambert, and Lin Shaye as Elise Lambert. New additions include actors Hiam Abbass and Sinclair Daniel.
