Synopsis
Kamal Haasan stars in this five time national award winning drama.
Sakhtivel returns to his father’s village in rural Theni. Completing his education in London, he comes back a changed man bringing along his westernised girlfriend Bhanumathi, much to the annoyance of his father.
Sakhtivel announces his plans to open a chain of restaurants in Madras and marry his girlfriend, which saddens his father who is a respected village chief and wished for him to help out the villagers.
