Synopsis
The classic tale of Edmond Dantès, a sailor who is falsely accused by those envious of his good fortune and imprisoned in the notorious island prison, Château d'If. While incarcerated, he befriends the Abbé Faria, a fellow prisoner believed to be mad, who informs him of a hidden treasure on the island of Monte Cristo. After many years, Dantès escapes, discovers the treasure, and assumes the identity of the Count of Monte Cristo to seek revenge on those who wronged him.
