Sinopsis

Billy Lynn (Joe Alwyn) es un joven soldado de 19 años de edad, que ha participado en el Escuadrón Bravo durante la guerra en Irak. Allí, él y sus compañeros han sobrevivido a una tensa batalla, que ha tenido una amplia cobertura en los medios de comunicación. En seguida son llevados de vuelta a casa, considerados como héroes por el Departamento de Defensa de los Estados Unidos. Para celebrar el heroísmo de los ocho de los miembros del Escuadrón Bravo, realizan una gira promocional por todo el país, que termina en un espectacular show el Día de Acción de Gracias. Mientras, en contraste con las percepciones de los estadounidenses sobre el conflicto armado, Lynn evocará los trágicos recuerdos de la guerra y la pérdida de su sargento en un tiroteo.
