A lifelong fangirl burdened with trashy purpose, Hannah Collins is a writer, editor, and content creator based in the UK. Formerly the Editor of Buzz Magazine and Anime/Manga Features Section Lead for CBR, she's also contributed articles about film, TV, cartoons, anime, comics, manga and more to Screen Rant, Digital Spy, Dexerto, The Escapist, The Mary Sue, WatchMojo, AnimeFeminist, and more.
Experience and Education
Graduating from Lancaster University with a joint BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art and Creative Writing, Hannah dipped into blogging as a dumping ground for her feminist fan girl opinions, resulting in a Wordpress Notable Read award in 2014, and a New Writers bursary from Creatives Wales in 2016. During her time on the editorial team at CBR, she interviewed legendary creators like Frank Miller, and after founding the Anime/Manga Features Section, served on Crunchyroll's Anime Awards judging panel.
Favorite Movies and TV Shows
Hannah's far-ranging tastes extend from true crime documentaries to weird, old fantasy, sci-fi and horror films, to anime. In terms of film, she holds Clueless, The Lord Of The Rings, Princess Mononoke, Arrival, Strictly Ballroom, Ghost In The Shell, Sleepy Hollow, Zodiac, Gosford Park, Digimon: The Movie, and The Fall close to her heart. As for TV, she worships at the altar of 30 Rock, Supernatural, Cardcaptor Sakura, and Neon Genesis Evangelion. Her closet trash faves, meanwhile, include The Refrigerator, The Pope's Exorcist, Malignant, Ghost Stories, and Jason X. She's seen every Godzilla film and bought every action figure she could find on a pilgrimage to Japan recently.
