Synopsis
A massive observatory in rural Australia is charged with communicating with the astronauts aboard the Apollo 11 during the ‘69 moon landing—only for things to go hilariously wrong
In July 1969, the United States’s Apollo 11 was scheduled to land on the moon. Since, at the time of the moonwalk, the ship would be over Australia, the US relied on the remote Australian Parkes Observatory to get radio contact with the crew. But when the town experiences a blackout, they resort to hilariously creative measures to pretend to the world that all is proceeding as planned.
