Synopsis

Wendy Darling, a timid girl reluctant to bid farewell to her childhood home, comes across Peter Pan, a boy who resists the idea of aging. Together with her brothers and a fairy named Tinker Bell, Wendy accompanies Peter to the enchanting realm of Neverland. In Neverland, Wendy confronts a malevolent pirate leader named Captain Hook and embarks on an exhilarating and hazardous journey that will have a profound impact on her life.

Pete’s Dragon director adapts another live-action fantasy tale for Disney with Peter Pan & Wendy
Peter Pan & Wendy is a fantasy-adventure film directed by David Lowery for Disney+. It serves as a live-action adaptation of the original Peter Pan animated movie from 1954 which was based on the 1904 play by J.M. Barrie called Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up. Lowery previously directed the 2016 live-action adaptation of Pete’s Dragon for Disney and returns with the same creative team for Peter Pan & Wendy including screenwriter Toby Halbrooks, producer Jim Whitaker and Bojan Bazelli handling the film’s cinematography. Frequent collaborator Daniel Hart scores the film after having worked with Lowery on his previous directorial efforts in A Ghost Story, The Old Man & the Gun, and The Green Knight.
Alexander Molony and Ever Anderson portray the titular Peter Pan and Wendy Darling respectively. Molony makes his film debut with this role while Anderson has previously appeared in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter and 2021’s Black Widow. She is the daughter of actress Milla Jovovich and director Paul W.S. Anderson. Jude Law portrays the famed Pan nemesis, Captain Hook, with Jim Gaffigan as Hook’s loyal sidekick, Mr. Smee. Yara Shahidi plays Peter’s excitable best friend, Tinker Bell. Other cast members include Joshua Pickering, Jacobi Jupe, Alyssa Wapanatahk, Molly Parker and Alan Tudyk.
