The Tour is divided into ten acts, representing her ten albums. This concert film was filmed over Swift's three Eras shows at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium in August 2023 and provides fans with a front-row seat to witness this cultural phenomenon during one of the most coveted shows in music history.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour is a concert film released in theatres documenting the singer's massive 2023-2024 concert series called the Eras Tour. It is directed by Sam Wrench who previously helmed a number of concert films from popular artists including BTS' Permission to Dance on Stage - LA (which he co-directed with Junsoo Park) along with Lizzo: Live in Concert and Billie Eilish Live at the O2. The Eras Tour is Swift's most expensive tour at the time of writing. It has shattered numerous worldwide ticket sales records including selling over 2.4 million tickets on its first day of presale, marking the highest number of tickets sold by an artist in one day. It is reported to be the first tour to ever gross over $1 billion in ticket sales.
Swift produced The Eras Tour concert film under her Taylor Swift Productions banner. There have been two other concert films chronicling her previous tours including The 1989 World Tour Live and Taylor Swift: Reputation Stadium Tour.
