Synopsis
Sister Irene faces demonic nun Valak once again to protect the vulnerable
Sister Irene, who had bravely investigated the demonic entity named Valak during a frightening incident at a Romanian monastery four years prior, embarks on another mission to confront the same demon. In 1956, she travels to France and learns about a priest who was murdered. With determination, Sister Irene prepares to confront Valak again, an evil nun who exploits the vulnerable and fearful by taking control of their bodies. Her main objective is to shield those who are at high risk of being possessed by this powerful evil force, which she has witnessed firsthand.

Storm Reid joins returning star Taissa Farmiga in James Wan-produced supernatural horror sequel
The Nun 2 is a supernatural horror film directed by Michael Chaves for Warner Bros. Pictures. It is the sequel to 2018’s The Nun and serves as the ninth installment within The Conjuring universe. Chaves has previously collaborated with Wan on The Curse of La Llorona in 2019 and 2021’s The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It as both films were produced by Wan. The screenplay was written by Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing and Akela Cooper. Goldberg and Naing previously worked on the TV series Fear the Walking Dead while Cooper penned the screenplay for the Wan-directed thriller Malignant in 2021 and 2022’s M3GAN.
Taissa Farmiga reprises her role from the first film as Sister Irene along with Bonnie Aarons as Valak/the titular Nun. Jonas Bloquet also returns portraying Frenchie. Storm Reid joins the sequel along with Anna Popplewell as Kate and Katelyn Rose Downey as Sophie. Reid is best known for her role as Gia in the HBO series Euphoria and portraying the lead characters in 2018’s A Wrinkle in Time and 2023’s Missing.
