Synopsis

This is a story of how women are not only overlooked, but also blamed for making false accusations when they try to stand up for themselves. It’s the story of countless women being wrongfully imprisoned for a crime that was done against them.

Award-winning documentary filmmaker Nancy Schwartzman shares the injustice faced by sexual assault victims
An American docu-movie that follows the stories of several young women that were wronged for speaking up against their experiences with sexual assault. The story is directed by award-winning Nancy Schwartzman. Prior to this, she directed the film Roll Red Roll which also tackled the subject of rape, and societal injustice.
Victim Suspect features Rae de Leon, a reporter working at The Center for Investigative Reporting, and the director of the Center, Amanda Pike. Rae de Leon and Amanda Pike also double up on this film as producers along with Christopher Clements, Julie Goldman, and Alice Henty. Carolyn Hepburn is the executive producer.
