Argylle is a spy action-comedy film produced by Marv and Apple Studios. The film is helmed by director, writer, and producer Matthew Vaughn, who is well known for his previous films including Layer Cake, Kick-Ass, X-Men: First Class, and the Kingsman film series. The screenplay is written by Jason Fuchs, who also wrote for Wonder Woman and I Still See You.
Argylle features an all-star cast including Henry Cavill as the titular spy featured in the novels written by Elly Conway, played by Bryce Dallas Howard. Sam Rockwell plays Aiden, a spy who first drags Elly into the real world of espionage into which her books have an uncanny insight, while Catherine O'Hara plays Elly's concerned mother. The rest of the cast is rounded out by singer Dua Lipa, WWE wrestler John Cena, legendary actor Samuel L Jackson, Rob Delany, and Ariana DeBose. The film’s villain is played by Breaking Bad actor Bryan Cranston.
