Cure (1997)

A series of similar murders confound police in neo-noir set in Tokyo

Kenichi Takabe, a Tokyo Detective, investigates a series of bizarre, violent murders. Each victim has an ‘X’ carved into the next, while the murderers are found nearby and readily confess to their crimes, though are unable to explain why they committed the crimes. Kenichi’s own wife suffers mental health issues, which further stresses Takabe. As he finds a man who may have a hand in the murders, his own team begin to experience strange mental disturbances.
