Synopsis
A filmmaker’s quest to dramatise a folk singer’s murder spirals into obsession
As a director retraces the life and death of Punjabi singer-activist Amar Singh Chamkila, fact and fiction begin to blur. His search for truth pulls him into the lives of those left behind, but the line between documentary and manipulation gets harder to see. What starts as a film becomes something messier, unreliable, chaotic, and uncomfortably real.
