Synopsis
A recently released felon in Mumbai seeks revenge for the wrongs done to him
A newly-released ex-felon in Mumbai finds himself in a world changed for the worse, at the mercy of corporate greed and warped ethics. Consumed by the past, he goes after those who wronged him to try and put the world right.

Dev Patel stars and makes his directorial debut with Netflix’s Monkey Man
Monkey Man is an action-thriller film produced by Creative Wealth Media, Thunder Road Films, and Bron Studios, and is distributed by Netflix. Acclaimed actor Dev Patel steps behind the camera in his directorial debut. Patel also co-writes the film alongside screenwriters John Collee and Paul Angunawela. Hauschka, the acclaimed German composer, creates the film’s score, after previously collaborating with Dev Patel on the Oscar-nominated feature Lion. 87Eleven — the choreography company behind John Wick and Atomic Blonde’s incredible action sequences — choreographs the action scenes for Monkey Man.
Dev Patel stars as the recently-released felon struggling to adapt to life outside prison. He is joined by Sharlto Copley, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Sikander Kher.
