Gangs of London (2020)

If you love a damn good tear-up on screen, you need to see Gangs. Even without the legendary fights, it's an accomplished drama, with a mesmerising performance by Joe Cole as Sean, the son of one of London's top gangsters who, when his dad is gunned down, takes charge and swears revenge. There's a second great turn in it by Sope Dirisu as Elliot, an undercover cop who is a bit too good at pretending to be a criminal. But we're here for the shootouts and the punch-ups, which are dizzyingly fast, choreographed with the precision of a fine ballet and horribly, disgustingly imaginative. Oof!
