George RR Martin returns to co-create House of the Dragon Season 2 for HBO
House of the Dragon Season 2 is the upcoming second season of the fantasy series produced by HBO. The series takes place within the Game of Thrones universe, created by author George RR Martin with his Song of Ice and Fire book series that was later developed in the successful HBO series Game of Thrones. House of Dragon Season 2 is co-created by Martin and Ryan Condal. Condal also executive produces the series alongside Miguel Sapochnik. The second season focuses on the Dance of Dragons (aka the Targaryen civil war)
The returning cast of season 2 includes Emma D'Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Olivia Cooke as Queen Alicent Hightower, Rhys Ifans as Otto Hightower, Eve Best as Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon, Fabien Frankel as Ser Criston Cole, Sonoya Mizuno as Mysaria, Graham McTavish as Ser Harrold Westerling, and Matthew Needham as Larys Strong. New additions include Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, and Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull.
