Synopsis

An engineer uncovers the truth behind the underground silo she calls home

In a dystopian future, humans are unable to inhabit the earth’s surface and instead live deep underground in silos under strict government rule. But when some of the silo residents die mysteriously, intrepid engineer Juliette begins seeking answers that pull back the dark truth behind their society.

Rebecca Ferguson stars in Apple TV’s adaptation of Hugh Howey’s sensational book series Wool

Silo is a sci-fi dystopian series produced by Apple TV+. The series is based on the best-selling self-published book series called Wool by author Hugh Howey. The series explores a dystopian future on earth in which humans live underground in silos. Canadian screenwriter Graham Yost writes and creates the series, while Morten Tyldum executive produces and directs some of the episodes. 

Swedish actor Rebecca Ferguson (Dune) executive produces and stars in the series as Juliette, the engineer trying to uncover the secrets of the silo. She is joined by David Oyelowo as Holston, the silo’s sheriff. Tim Robbins plays Bernard, the head of IT, while other cast members include Common, Rashida Jones, and Ian Glen, among others.
