The John Wick prequel spin-off series delves into the origins of the famed Continental hotel

The Continental Season 1 is the first season in the American action series produced by Lionsgate Television. Taking place within the John Wick universe, the series serves as a prequel to the films and focuses on the origins of the legendary assassins hotel, The Continental. The series is made up of three 90-minute episodes, two directed by Albert Hughes (The Book of Eli), and one by Charlotte Brändström (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power). The John Wick films’ creative team are also on board for the series, including Keanu Reeves, Chad Stahelski, and Derek Kolstad.

Colin Woodell takes on the role of the Continental's distinctive owner, Winston, portrayed by Ian McShane in the films. The hotel manager Charone is played by Ayomide Adegun, taking over from Lawrence Riddick in the films. The series introduces a new main character, Cormac, played by Mel Gibson, and Peter Greene plays the young clean-up expert, Uncle Charlie.
