Beginning her career in sitcoms such as “The Cosby Show” (1990–1992) and “Living Single” (1993–1998), Erika Alexander has since taken on an incredible variety of roles. Throughout the 2000s, she starred in movies such as “Full Frontal” (2002), directed by Steven Soderbergh, and “Deja Vu” (2006), directed by Tony Scott. She starred in Jordan Peele’s groundbreaking horror movie, “Get Out” (2017), before taking a leading role in “American Refugee” (2021), the A24 drama “Earth Mama” (2023), and starring in “American Fiction” (2023) alongside Issa Rae and Jeffrey Wright. Alexander has had recurring roles in television series such as “Bosch” (2016–2017), “Beyond” (2017–2018), “Insecure” (2018), “Black Lightning” (2018–2019), and the Hulu music drama “Wu-Tang: An American Saga” (2019–2023).
