Widely appreciated as a comedy icon, Kevin James made a name for himself throughout the 2000s with a string of impressive performances, beginning with his leading role opposite Will Smith in “Hitch” (2005). He would go on to appear in “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry” (2007) before joining fellow comedians Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, and Rob Schneider in the comedy “Grown Ups” (2010). One of James’ most memorable movie credits is his lead role in the movie “Paul Blart: Mall Cop” (2009) and the sequel “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2” (2016) where he appears as a hypoglycemic security guard. James wrote and produced both of those movies as well as the fantasy comedy “Zookeeper” (2011) and “Here Comes the Boom” (2012). Also known for his voice acting work, he voiced Frankenstein in the first three movies of the “Hotel Transylvania” (2012–2018) franchise. Whether action comedies like “Guns Up” (2025), sports comedies like “Home Team” (2022), or romantic comedies like “Solo Mio” (2026), James is one of the best in the business. With three stand-up specials to his name as well as his own sitcom in “Kevin Can Wait” (2016–2018), there are few who can boast the level of success that Kevin James has managed in his glittering career.
