Despite working on multiple movies, Noah Hawley really grabbed the world’s attention with his role as creator of the TV show “Fargo” (2014–2024). He was an accomplished television writer before that series, having worked on shows such as “Bones” (2005–2008), “The Unusuals” (2009), and “My Generation” (2010). Fargo marked his first step into directing, which he quickly followed up by serving as creator for the surreal superhero show “Legion” (2017–2019) and developing “Alien: Earth” (2025) for FX in which he is showrunner, writer, and director. His feature film directorial debut is the psychological drama “Lucy in the Sky” (2019), which saw him work with Natalie Portman, Jon Hamm, and Colman Domingo. Hawley is a successful writer and director in the entertainment industry, but he is also a writer with six novels to his name and an accomplished singer.
