Paul Soter is an American actor, writer, and director best known as a founding member of the Broken Lizard comedy troupe. His break-out movie was “Super Troopers” (2001), which he starred in and co-wrote. He followed up with more Broken Lizard hits including “Club Dread” (2004), “Beerfest” (2006), and “Super Troopers 2” (2018). Outside the group, Soter directed the offbeat rom-com “Watching the Detectives” (2007) and the horror indie “Dark Circles” (2013), and had a recurring role in the comedy series “Tacoma FD” (2019–2023). In 2025, he co-wrote the horror-comedy “The Slashin’ of the Christ” with Spencer Charnas of Ice Nine Kills, produced by horror icon Greg Nicotero. He also stars as Dr. Richard Kane in the sci-fi horror film “Marshmallow” (2025).
