Teresa Saponangelo began her career with roles in movies such as “August Vacation” (1996), “The Vesuvians” (1997), and “In the Beginning There Was Underwear” (1999), the latter of which garnered her much attention and acclaim. Throughout the 2000s, she appeared in films such as “Two Friends” (2002), “I Can See It in Your Eyes” (2004), “Your Whole Life Ahead of You” (2008), and “La Pecora nera” (2010), which was nominated for the Golden Lion at the Venice International Film Festival. She worked with filmmaker Paolo Sorrentino on the movie “The Hand of God” (2021) before roles in movies such as “Birds Flying East” (2024) and “Hungry Bird” (2025). Saponangelo has featured in a selection of different shows, such as “La dama velata” (2015), “Sirene” (2017), “Vivie lascia vivere” (2020), and “Vicenzo Malinconico, Unsuccessful Lawyer” (2022–).
