Synopsis

María Fuentes, a successful and attractive 27-year-old lawyer from Madrid, discovers that she is not the biological daughter of her parents. Upon investigating her origins, she uncovers a dark network of extortion, theft, and trafficking of babies, in which members of her own family are involved. When she attempts to report these findings, she is betrayed and ends up imprisoned in China. After several years, María escapes and returns to Spain under the alias Mercedes Dantés, with a meticulously crafted plan to exact revenge on those who wronged her. Feigning amnesia, she reintegrates into her former life to dismantle the lives of her adoptive parents and uncle from within.
