Game of Thrones’s David Benioff and D.B. Weiss create 3 Body Problem at Netflix
3 Body Problem is a science-fiction fantasy series on Netflix. The show is based on the novel ‘The Three-Body Problem’ by Liu Cixin, and is developed by David Benioff, D.B. Weiss and Alexander Woo. This is Benioff and Weiss’s first major production at Netflix, after signing a five-year, $250 million deal with the streaming giant. The series is produced by Plan B Entertainment, Primitive Streak, T-Street and Three-Body Universe.
3 Body Problem features an ensemble cast, with Rosalind Chao as Ye Wenjie (present day), Benedict Wong as Da Shi, John Bradley as Jack Rooney, Jess Hong as Jin Cheng and Eiza Gonzalez as Auggie Salazar. The series also features Saamer Usmani, Jovan Adepo, Alex Sharp, Liam Cunningham, Marlo Kelly, Ben Schnetzer, Jason Forbes and acclaimed British actor Jonathan Pryce.
