The series is based on Julia Quinn’s book series of the same name, and takes place in Britain’s Regency era. The first season, based on the book ‘The Duke and I’ followed Daphne Bridgerton. Season two, based on ‘The Viscount Who Loved Me’, focused on Anthony, Viscount Bridgerton. The third season brings Colin Bridgerton front and centre, along with his potential love interest, friend and neighbour Penelope Featherington.
Nicola Coughlan returns as Penelope Featherington, alongside Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton. Golda Rosheuvel will also reprise her role as Queen Charlotte, with Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury, Jonathan Bailey as Anthony, Simone Ashley as Kate, and Ruth Gemmell as Lady Violet Bridgerton. Phoebe Dynevor, is not returning as Daphne for the third season.
