Synopsis
Mystery in Ennis: two investigators race against time to uncover truth behind vanished Arctic researchers
The winter nights in Ennis, Alaska are extensive with little light. The Tsalal Arctic Research station is typically overseen by a group of six men, however they are vanishing without any evidence or indication as to why. The responsibility of unraveling the strange occurrence falls on the shoulders of two investigators, Liz Danvers and Evangeline Navarro. Their mission is to uncover the truth which may be hidden deep beneath the ice. During their quest, they will not only unravel the enigmatic happenings in the most remote corners of the planet but also discover important things about themselves.

Jodie Foster stars in fourth season of HBO anthology crime series
True Detective season 4 is the fourth season of the anthology crime thriller TV series created by Nic Pizzolatto for HBO. Pizzolatto, who served as showrunner for the first three seasons of the suspenseful series, was not in charge of the fourth season however he held the position of executive producer. In his place, Issa López assumed the role of showrunner and also took on directorial duties. This season was given the subtitle: Night Country. López and Pizzolatto were joined by a number of impressive names for producing duties including Academy Award winning director Barry Jenkins and star Jodie Foster who is also an Oscar recipient.
True Detective has a history of featuring renowned actors including Woody Harrelson, Rachel McAdams and Oscar winners Matthew McConaughey and Mahershala Ali in leading roles. Season 4 continued this trend with the addition of Hollywood legend Jodie Foster who took on the lead role. Kali Reis, an actress and professional boxer, portrayed the character of Evangeline Navarro. The cast also includes John Hawkes, Fiona Shaw, Christopher Eccleston, Anna Lame, Finn Bennet, Aka Niviâna, Isabella Star Lablanc and Joel D. Montgrand.
