Moana 2 is an animated adventure film produced by Disney Pixar. The movie is a direct sequel to the 2016 film Moana. The film is written and directed by David G. Derrick Jr. (in his feature directorial debut) and produced by Osnat Shurer.
The sequel was initially planned out as a series dedicated for Disney+, however, it was developed into a feature length film set for theatrical release sometime in early 2024. Actors Dwyane Johnson and Auliʻi Cravalho will be seen reprising their roles as Maui and Moana for the upcoming sequel. We're still to hear about the rest of the casting announcements for the upcoming feature.
