Set in the 1960’s, The Archies, brings to life the iconic characters from The Archies comics with an Indian twist. Join Archies, Betty, Veronica, and Jughead as they sing and dance their way through the retro town of Riverdale. And gear up for a story about rock and roll, love and heartbreak, and a ton of classic 1960’s nostalgia.
The Archies is an upcoming Hindi language film based on the iconic Archies comics. The movie is co-produced by Tiger Baby Films and Graphic India. Zoya Akhtar comes onboard to produce, and direct the film. Makers of the original comics, Bob Montana and John L. Goldwater are credited as writers for the film. The movie is based on a screenplay written jointly by Ayesha DeVitre, Reema Kagti, and Zoya Akhtar. Prior to this, Zoya Akhtar, has directed films like Gully Boy, and Zindagi Na Milegi Doobara.
The Archies features an ensemble cast and marks the acting debut for several young artists. Agastya Nanda headlines the film as Archies, he is joined by Suhana Khan, who stars as the feisty Veronica Lodge, Vedang Raina stars as Reggie Mantle, Khushi Kapoor signs on as the girl next door Betty Cooper, Mihir Ahuja plays Jughead, the upcoming artist Aditi Dot plays Ethel Muggs, and Yuvraj Menda stars as Dilton Doiley.
