Gustav and his two estranged daughters reunite as he attempts to make a comeback film

Theatre star Nora and her sister Agnes are estranged from their difficult but highly successful father, Gustav. Once a well-respected director, Gustav plans a comeback film starring Nora, but when she refuses the part he gives it to a rising American star. As the sisters reconnect with each other and their father, old family dynamics begin to come to the surface and make way for a new path.
