Synopsis
Although there is renewed sympathy for mutants, it’s not long before the X-Men must face a daunting new threat
After Professor X leaves Earth to receive desperate medical attention, Cyclops and Storm try to keep the team together in his absence, while Magneto vies to replace him completely. Although human sympathies have now shifted in favour of mutants, they must defend themselves with all they’ve got against Mister Sinister, who wants to destroy the X-Men at all costs.

The iconic original voice cast return to their roles for Marvel/Disney’s X-Men sequel series
X-Men ‘97 Season 1 is the first season in the animated series produced by Marvel Studios for Disney+. The series acts as a sequel and a series reboot, following directly after events of X-Men: The Animated Series. X-Men '97 is helmed by Beau DeMayo as head writer, and he is joined by the X-Men: The Animated Series' showrunners and writers Eric and Julia Lewald. The series is based on Stan Lee and Jack Kirby’s original comics about a group of mutants with super abilities called the X-Men.
Many members of the original voice cast return for X-Men '97, including Lenore Zann as Rogue, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Wolverine, Catherine Disher as Jean Grey , George Buza as Beast, and Adrian Hough as Nightcrawler. Christopher Britton returns as the series’ primary villain, Mister Sinister.
