Most of the original voice cast return to their iconic characters for Marvel/Disney’s X-Men ‘97
X-Men ‘97 is an upcoming Marvel Studios animated series for Disney+. The series follows directly after events of X-Men: The Animated Series and acts as both a sequel and a series reboot. Beau DeMayo is the head writer for X-Men '97, and is joined by the X-Men: The Animated Series’ showrunners and writers Eric and Julia Lewald. The series is based on the comics originally created by comic book writers Stan Lee and Jack Kirby about the X-Men, a group of mutants with super abilities.
Some of the original voice cast returns for the reboot, including Lenore Zann as Rogue, a mutant who can absorb the powers those she touches. Alison Sealy-Smith returns as the legendary Storm, and Cal Dodd brings back his rough voice as Wolverine. Jean Grey is voiced by Catherine Disher, George Buza is Beast, and Adrian Hough is Nightcrawler. Christopher Britton returns as the main villain, Mister Sinister.
