With the checkered flag in sight for the Fast franchise, Vin Diesel and Jason Momoa have shifted gears to put a stop to the rumored conflict between them following the release of Fast X.

Speculations surrounding the feud between the two emerged a few weeks after the release of Fast X. Rumors suggested that Diesel harbored anger towards Momoa for allegedly "overacting," with claims that Momoa's “scene-stealing” performance was responsible for the film receiving unfavorable critical reviews. In the Instagram post, Diesel applauds Momoa’s “scene-stealing” portrayal of Dante, appearing to subtly taunt the rumors circulating about their supposed feud.

Diesel made an announcement on Instagram this week, revealing the release date for Fast & Furious 11 (April 4, 2025). The post features a behind-the-scenes image featuring himself and Momoa, and included a touching message expressing his admiration for the remarkable level of creativity and collaboration displayed by the entire cast within the expansive saga. He also skillfully addressed the rumored feud with Momoa by specifically acknowledging his exceptional contribution to Fast X, praising his portrayal of a truly distinctive and extraordinary character:

“Jason wanted to try something totally unique and special and ended up creating a scene stealing character that the world won’t forget.”

Momoa also chimed in with a comment, replying with "all aloha" on Diesel's post along with a number of heart emojis, stating “best times. mahalo for taking a chance with me boss man.” The post and subsequent comments affirm the positive working relationship shared between the two stars.

The tenth entry into the adrenaline-packed saga has grossed over $652 million worldwide thus far and sees Momoa portray the role of Dante Reyes, a character consumed by vengeance as the son of Fast Five’s deceased Hernan Reyes. Fueled by a deep-seated desire for retribution, Dante sets his sights on Diesel's iconic character, Dominic Toretto, and those close to him as he holds them accountable for their contribution to his family's financial turmoil. Fast X serves as the first part of a two-part climax that will mark the end of the Fast and Furious saga.

Diesel also extended his appreciation to the unwavering support of the fans, highlighting the importance of familial bonds and dedication to one another by noting that the presence of 7 billion fans “means nothing if it doesn’t represent the true feeling of family and loyalty.”

He also eagerly teased that there is more excitement in store for the franchise as part two promises an unparalleled collaboration between the Fast Family and the studio. With a tantalizing hint, he suggested that audiences will be treated to an experience unlike anything they have witnessed before.

With a staggering global box office haul exceeding $7 billion across eleven films, including the Hobbs & Shaw spin-off, the Fast franchise has claimed its position as the fifth current highest-grossing franchise ever, revving its engine for over two decades. As the eleventh installment of the main series is near and a Hobbs standalone film set to serve as a bridge between the tenth and eleventh films, fans eagerly anticipate the exhilarating future that awaits the Fast franchise beyond its climactic finale in 2025.

Fast X is currently in theaters.
