Synopsis
Screenwriter's return home triggers mystery and love, with parents frozen in time
In his nearly empty tower block in London one night, screenwriter Adam experiences an unexpected encounter with his mysterious neighbour, Harry. This encounter disrupts the routine of his daily life. While a relationship grows between them, Adam becomes increasingly haunted by memories from his past. These memories lead him back to the suburban town of his upbringing where his parents reside in his childhood home, just as they were 30 years ago when they passed away.

Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal star as romantic pairing in film from Looking producer
All of Us Strangers is a fantasy-romance film written and directed by Andrew Haigh for Searchlight Pictures. It is inspired by Taichi Yamada's novel titled Strangers which released in 1987. Haigh has previously written and directed a number of acclaimed romance-centric titles including 2011's Weekend and 2015's 45 Years. He also produced and wrote on the HBO series Looking for two seasons before writing and directing its 2016 film. Jamie D. Ramsay handles the cinematography on All of Us Strangers after previously working on such films as Living and See How They Run. The film is produced by Graham Broadbent, Pete Czernin and Sarah Harvey.
Fleabag's Andrew Scott stars in the lead role of Adam while Carter John Grout portrays his younger self. Paul Mescal, best known for his work in Normal People and Aftersun, plays Harry. Jamie Bell and Claire Foy round out the cast as Adam's parents.
