Synopsis
X-Men face obstacles from Magneto and Sinister as Storm and Wolverine fight for team continuity
Storm and Wolverine strive to maintain the continuity of the X-Men team, however they encounter obstacles from Magneto who desires to replace Charles Xavier as the leader of the group while the Professor is recuperating on a distant planet. Additionally, the situation becomes more complex with the arrival of Sinister, a mutant DNA collector who aims to eliminate the X-Men permanently.

X-Men '97 picks up where the beloved X-Men: The Animated Series left off
X-Men ‘97 season 1 is the first season of the Disney+ animated superhero TV series created by Beau DeMayo. It is a revival of the well-known X-Men: The Animated Series which was developed by Eric Lewald, Sidney Iwanter, and Mark Edens and aired from 1992 to 1997. Both titles are based on the X-Men comic series by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. The story revolves around a group of mutants who face discrimination from society due to their extraordinary abilities but remain committed to using their powers for good. Showrunner Beau DeMayo has worked on a number of popular TV shows including The Witcher, Moon Knight and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. He also wrote the screenplay for the critically acclaimed The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf which was released in 2021.
The entire original voice cast from the animated series returned to reprise their respective roles in this revival. This includes Cal Dodd as James Howlett/Wolverine, Lenore Zann as Anna-Marie Raven/Rogue, George Buza as Dr. Henry "Hank" McCoy/Beast, Catherine Disher as Jean Grey, Chris Potter as Remy LeBeau/Gambit, Alison Sealy-Smith as Ororo Munroe/Storm, Adrian Hough as Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler, and Christopher Britton as Nathaniel Essex/Mister Sinister.
