Synopsis

Three generations of the Deetz family reunite after a tragedy and accidentally summon Beetlejuice

After a family tragedy, Lydia, Delia, and Astrid find themselves back in Winter River once more. The the portal between the Afterlife and the world of the living has been dormant for many years, but all of that is about to change when someone says Beetlejuice three times.

Michael Keaton, Winona Rider, and Catherine O’Hara return for the long-awaited Beetlejuice sequel

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 2024 AD is the upcoming sequel to the original 1988 fantasy comedy horror film Beetlejuice, and is produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment and Tim Burton Productions. Tim Burton returns as director, having previously directed the first film. He returns alongside Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, whom he teamed up with to produce the hit Netflix series, Wednesday. Danny Elfman, who composed the music for the original films, returns to score the sequel.

Michael Keaton reprises his role as the rambunctious ‘bio-exorcist’ from the netherworld, Betelgeuse. He is rejoined by Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara, who reprise their roles as Lydia and Delia Deetz from the original film. Jenna Ortega also stars as Lydia Deetz’s daughter. The rest of the cast includes Justin Theroux, Willem Dafoe, and Monica Bellucci, the latter of whom stars as Betelgeuse's wife.
