Synopsis
The Ghostbusters team up in New York City to stop a supernatural ice age
The Spengler family move to New York City to team up with the original Ghostbusters to create a new invention for busting ghosts in their lab. But when an evil force that freezes everything — and everyone — is unleashed, it’s down to the Ghostbusters to save the world again.

Ghostbusters old a new reassemble for Sony's sequel to Afterlife
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is a supernatural comedy film produced by Columbia Pictures for Sony. The film is a sequel to 2021’s Ghostbusters: Afterlife, and is the fifth instalment in the Ghostbusters franchise overall. After co-writing Afterlife, Gil Kenan and Jason Reitman return to write the script for Frozen Empire, with Kenan also stepping into the director’s role this time around.
Members of the original Ghostbusters team return for Frozen Empire, including Bill Murray as Dr Peter Venkman, Ernie Hudson as Dr Winston Zeddemore, and Dan Aykroyd as Dr Ray Stantz. The new Ghostbusters team also return, including Paul Rudd as scientist Gary Grooberson, Carrie Coon as Egon’s daughter Callie Spengler, Finn Wolfhard as her son Trevor Spengler, and Mckenna Grace as her daughter Phoebe Spengler. They are also joined by Celeste O'Connor as Lucky Domingo, and Logan Kim as Podcast. Annie Potts also returns to her role as Ghostbusters secretary Janine Melnitz.
