St. Vincent (2014)

A grumpy loner becomes an unlikely role model

When single mum Maggie moves in next door, her young son Oliver forms an unexpected bond with their misanthropic neighbour, Vincent. A chain-smoking war vet with a fondness for gambling and strippers, Vincent reluctantly becomes Oliver’s babysitter and unlikely mentor - teaching life lessons from a barstool rather than a classroom.
