Synopsis
A washed up stuntman gets a second chance to prove himself when his co-star goes missing
Colt Seavers, a washed up stuntman, is thrown a lifeline by his ex-girlfriend when she hires him to double for a bigshot star in her debut film. But when the star goes missing, Colt seizes the opportunity to try and right some wrongs of the past.

The Fall Guy is an upcoming action-comedy produced by Universal Pictures. The film follows the story of Colt Seavers, a stuntman in the middle of hard times who finds himself in the middle of a mystery when the star of the film he's working on disappears. The film is directed by David Leitch, an ex-stuntman, who is known for his work on John Wick, Atomic Blonde, and Deadpool 2. The screenplay is written by Drew Pearce, who worked alongside Leitch on the 2019 Fast and Furious spinoff Hobbs & Shaw.

The Fall Guy stars Ryan Gosling (Barbie, La La Land) as Colt Seavers, a stuntman in decline. He is joined by Emily Blunt (A Quiet Place) as a film director and Colt’s ex girlfriend, Jody, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the missing film star, Winston Duke as Colt’s best friend, Stephanie Hsu (Everything, Everywhere, All at Once) as a personal assistant, and Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso) as a producer. Lee Majors, who starred as Colt in the original TV series, also appears in the film.

The story is loosely based on the 1980s ABC television series of the same name created by Glen A Larson. The original series follows the adventures of Colt Seavers (played by Lee Majors), who is a stuntman by day and uses his stunt skills as a bounty hunter by night.
