Kinds of Kindness (2024)

A three-part anthology movie from the filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos

A triptych of stories that discuss power, dominance, and our desire for control. In the first chapter, ‘The Death of R.M.F.’, an employee and his boss test their oddly intertwined and dependent relationship. The employee seeks to break free of the all-consuming relationship and take charge of his destiny. In the second chapter, "R.M.F. is Flying," a couple must navigate a disconnect in their marriage when suspicion takes hold of their day-to-day life. When his wife returns home after being reported missing at sea, the confounded husband wonders if she is the same person or secretly an imposter. Lastly in "R.M.F. Eats a Sandwich," an ardent devotee of a cult begins the search for a special person with unique abilities. Leaving behind her life’s commitments, she embarks on a mission of desire and devotion.
