Synopsis
Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 2024 A.D. charts the ongoing misadventures of the bio-exorcist Betelgeuse
The Deetz family return to their ancestral home at Winter River. Brought together again by a tragic happening, three generations of the family unite. Lydia's teenage daughter Astrid is curious and defiant, refusing to heed the warnings of her mother. Eventually she opens the portal to the Afterlife and unleashes the demon Beetlejuice.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 2024 A.D. is a fantasy comedy horror movie. It is a sequel to the cult classic 1988 movie Beetlejuice and similarly is directed by iconic filmmaker Tim Burton. Burton reteams with writers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar with whom he produced the hit Netflix show, Wednesday.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 2024 A.D. sees Michael Keaton return to the titular role as Betelgeuse and is joined by Monica Bellucci who plays his wife. Winona Ryder and Catherine O’Hara both return as Lydia and Delia Deetz respectively. Justin Theroux and Willem Dafoe are both confirmed to be starring. Jenna Ortega stars as Lydia Deetz’s daughter.

Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis starred as Adam and Barbara Maitland in the first Beetlejuice movie. The Maitlands however do not feature in the sequel despite the fact that other members of the original cast are returning.
Where was Beetlejuice Beetlejuice filmed?
The sequel movie was filmed mostly in East Cornith, Vermont. The house at the heart of the movie was entirely reconstructed to look like the original. The movie is set in a fictional town called Winter River which is supposed to be in Connecticut. East Cornith in Vermont shares the New England style that director Tim Burton is after. Filming continued to take place in Hertfordshire in England and later in Melrose, Massachusetts.
Who is doing the music for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice?
Legendary composer Danny Elfman returns to score the sequel. Elfman is a frequent collaborator with director Tim Burton, the pair having worked together on other movies such as Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, Sleepy Hollow, Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and the TV show Wednesday.
