The Folks Behind the Funnies

Everyday, to millions of readers in almost every nation on earth, comic strip characters appear as familiar friends in newspapers and on the internet. Yet few of us know much about the history of those characters, or the cartoonists who created them. I had the privilege of interviewing twenty-one of the most popular newspaper cartoonists in the world. A lifelong fan of daily comic strips - over the years I was fortunate to befriend many of these immensely talented people, who make our lives a little brighter everyday. Hours of great interviews are featured in this upbeat and often irreverent visit with the folks behind, what is affectionately called, The Funnies.
