Synopsis
The story of a pro wrestling family trying to shake off their curse and make history
The Von Erich family is known as a dynasty. This family of professional wrestlers has dominated the ring from the 1960s onward. They are known for their signature move - the iron claw wrestling hold. In the 1980s, the Von Erich brothers were looking to make their own mark on the sport. But before beating any contender in the ring, they must survive their belligerent father and coach.

The Iron Claw is an upcoming biographical sports movie produced by A24, BBC Films, and Access Entertainment. The movie is based on the life of the professional wrestling family, the Von Erichs, and in particular, Kevin Von Erich. The movie is directed and written by Sean Durkin, best known for his movies Martha Marcy May Marlene and The Nest. He also directed three episodes of the Prime Video series Dead Ringers.
The Iron Claw features an impressive ensemble cast that is led by Zac Efron who stars as Kevin Von Erich. Efron first came to fame by starring in High School Musical but has since taken on more dramatic roles such as playing Ted Bundy in the movie Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile. Jeremy Allen White, best known for his performance in the TV show, The Bear, stars as Kerry Von Erich. Harris Dickinson plays David, while Maura Tierney plays Doris Von Erich. The cast also includes Holt McCallany, Lily James, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Brady Pierce, Cazzey Louis Cereghino, Chavo Guerrero Jr., and Ryan Nemeth.
