Khichdi - Season 1 (2002)

The series follows the eccentric Parekh family, a Gujarati joint family residing in an old mansion called 'Mohan Niwas'. The family members often find themselves in typical Indian situations but approach them in the most unconventional and humorous ways. Despite their constant bickering and individual quirks, they are united in their desire to separate and form nuclear families. However, the family patriarch, Tulsidas Parekh, refuses to sell the ancestral property. He challenges them to leave and survive independently, but none are willing to forgo their share of the inheritance. As a result, they continue to live together, navigating the trials and tribulations of joint family life with humor and heart.
