Richard Armitage and Jing Lusi lead thrilling ITV conspiracy series

Red Eye Season 1 is an upcoming ITV action-conspiracy television series. Directed by Not Safe for Work's Kieron Hawkes, the six-episode series is written by Peter A. Dowling and Jingan Young. Dowling has previously written titles like 2005's Flightplan along with on the TV show Black and Blue. Production on Red Eye is handled by the award-winning and prestigious production company Bad Wolf, whose previous works include The Night Of and Doctor Who.

After narrowly escaping death in a car accident in Beijing, Dr. Matthew Nolan returns to London only to be immediately arrested at Heathrow Airport. Despite claiming he was alone in the vehicle, he is accused of murdering a woman involved in the crash and faces extradition to China. DC Hana Li, assigned to escort him, discovers a string of deaths during the flight, raising suspicions of sinister motives. Simultaneously, her journalist sister Jess Li delves into Nolan's case. MI5's Madeline Delaney risks her career to reveal an international conspiracy.

Red Eye is led by The Hobbit's Richard Armitage, who plays Dr. Matthew Nolan, and Crazy Rich Asians' Jing Lusi, who portrays DC Hana Li. They are joined by Lesley Sharp, Jemma Moore, Dan Li, Kevan MacKenzie, Daphne Cheung and Xiangyi Tan.
